3rd Annual Big Bands & BBQ Competition | Campbell

All afternoon and into the evening, enjoy delicious BBQ, live music, dancing, vintage cars, gourmet food booths, professional cooking demos, an amateur BBQ cook-off, a watermelon eating contest, and kids’ games in the heart of Downtown Campbell.

Our headline entertainment is the incomparable Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, so put on your dancing shoes!

First Amateur BBQ Cook Off Competition
Ladies and gentlemen, start your grills and prove your BBQ prowess. The DCBA invites you and your chosen team of BBQ experts to participate in the Big Bands & BBQ Amateur Barbecue Cook-Off on Saturday, July 17th, 2010 in Downtown Campbell. A total of $1500 in cash prizes will be awarded to the best team in each of five BBQ categories: open category, whole chicken, pork ribs, tri tip, and Best in Show. Participants may choose which categories to enter, but must enter a minimum of two categories.

Big Band Main Stage:

• 12pm – 1:30pm: South Bay School of Music Arts Big Band
• 2pm – 3:30pm: Bug Horn Rex
• 4pm – 5:30pm: Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers
• 6pm – 7:30pm: The Bingtones

Rock n’ Roll Stage:

• 3pm – 4:15pm: Redwood
• 4:45pm – 6pm: The B Stars
• 6:30pm – 7:45pm: Lil’ Pea & the 3rd Degree
