San Francisco’s Bayview Neighborhood comes alive for 3rd on Third, a community-wide arts celebration for the whole family happening from 5-8 pm every third Friday of the month, at Bayview Town Center (Mendell Plaza at 3rd Street & Oakdale Ave).

The monthly event features pop-up galleries, pop-up attractions, local food vendors, a beer and wine garden, a special children’s zone with free art-making activities, and a stage featuring talent from Bayview and beyond.

At October’s “3rd on Third” monthly arts celebration in Bayview on Cotober 17, 2013, experience bilingual hip hop group, Los Rakas, and the Ramp restaurant’s lively Salsa band, N’Rumba.

Galería de la Raza, S.C.R.A.P., and Precita Eyes will host an altar on Mendell Plaza for community members to place their mementos to honor the departed.

Other festivities include FREE trolley rides, murals by local artists, pop up galleries, outdoor performances, a special children’s zone with free art-making activities, and food vendors.
