Barbara Ruth Saunders is a poet and memoirist from New York, now living in Berkeley, California. Her work explores the intersection of biography, history, and myth, in a quest for understanding the timeless elements of the human condition. Barbara’s poems and criticism have appeared in Highland Park Poetry and won several prizes or honorable mentions. She has performed autobiographical solo pieces at the Marsh in San Francisco and Berkeley and published a poetry chapbook, Hearing Voices.

Robert Eugene Rubino is the author of three collections and has published prose and poetry in various online and print journals. He’s been a regular at open mics both in-person and virtually throughout the Bay Area and beyond since 2019, having featured at Sacred Grounds and Bird & Beckett in San Francisco, Bay Books in Sausalito, Aqus Cafe in Petaluma and via Zoom at Oceanside Library in New York. Robert graduated from San Francisco State in 1979 with a degree in journalism and worked for various newspapers for 34 years before retiring in 2013.
