With over 3,000 seats and a meticulously-restored interior, the Paramount offers a true “Movie Palace” experience straight out of the 1930s – with period newsreels, cartoons, previews, live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ and the audience participation spinning wheel game of “Dec-O-Win.”
In Laura, director Otto Preminger assembles a marvelous cast and strikes the perfect balance between low motives and high style in this film noir murder mystery. Assigned to investigate the gruesome murder of lovely Laura Hunt (Gene Tierney), hard-boiled homicide detective Mark McPherson (Dana Andrews) cross-examines those who may have had a motive: a gossip columnist, a wealthy playboy, and his lover.
Then, late one night, Laura returns – or does she?
