With over 3,000 seats and a meticulously-restored interior, the Paramount offers a true “Movie Palace” experience straight out of the 1930s – with period newsreels, cartoons, previews, live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ and the audience participation spinning wheel game of “Dec-O-Win.”
Hailed as one of Walt Disney’s greatest films and winning Julie Andrews the Best Actress Oscar for her title role, this remains one of the most popular movies ever made.
Released just two years before he died, in 1964, Mary Poppins, with its unique combination of live action and animation, was Walt Disney’s swan song. The film received 13 Academy Awards nominations and won five awards.
