Dodgeball Power Hour & Bad Music Sing-Along | Mission Dist.
The World Dodgeball Society has made a mission out of giving the childhood standby a seriously cool update. Their motto is “Winning is for losers.”
Open gym is a one-hour pickup session to try the game out and test the waters and enjoy a good old fashioned power hour of dodgeball. They play with a much softer ball than the one you probably used as a kid, so the game is easier and more fun.
It’s one part social event, one part sweat session, and one part sing-along (they blast everything from Dolly Parton to Neil Diamond).

Open Jam sessions return this Monday from 9-11 at The Mission Rec Center. These are open play dodgeball sessions for anyone looking to start the new year off right. Bust out those sexy sweatsuits and come out and play. We are officially retiring our holiday play lists (so please don’t request Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer), but will be playing plenty of hits and an occasional miss.
Cost to play is 5 bucks. The balls are no-sting rubber making for extra special co-ed good times.
