The San Francisco Chronicle presents “Chronicle Chats” – an ongoing series of events, featuring thought-leaders, influencers, newsmakers and trend-setters.
Third in the 2018 series is “New Technology: Is it time to opt out?” hosted on September 17th at the Herbst Theatre. Is there such a thing as too much technology? The fight for our increasingly limited attention has led to an onslaught new platforms, constant notifications and ways to harvest our data.
The Chronicle is convening a conversation with leading experts on the intersection of technology and society to discuss whether we can effectively opt-out of technology and still lead meaningful, modern lives. Or is the responsibility on us as consumers to proactively engage with current and future platforms to fulfill their promises of making our lives better. Join in to find out.
