Event Details

SF Art Exchange will host an exhibit of Rolling Stones images  by renowned photographer Jim Marshall over the next eight weeks. The show focuses on Jim’s shots taken while on assignment for LIFE in 1972. 

RSVP to info@sfae.com and join the opening reception: Saturday October 6th, 7pm – 10pm.

Demonstrating his trademark “All Access” style, he captured the group both in the studio, while they put the finishing touches on their landmark double album Exile on Main Street, as well as onstage, with incredible performance shots during the West Coast leg of their blockbuster US Tour that summer.

This event coincides with the publishing of a new book of Jim Marshall’s photographsThe Rolling Stones 1972 (Chronicle Books) and the group’s 50th Anniversary.
