Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018 will be played by the 40 best men’s and women’s international teams at AT&T Park from July 20–22. Rugby fans from around the world will experience rugby sevens, a faster-paced format that features 15-minute matches and seven players from each team. This historic event will feature knockout-style match play for the first time, which means every match counts.

At a special event the evening of Monday May 14, fans will be treated to  5-on-5 touch rugby game played on a barge on the water in McCovey Cove followed by a Giants Ruby Night pre-game reception in Seals Plaza with the Rugby World Sevens Trophies.

  • 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – 5 on 5 touch rugby played on a barge on the water in McCovey Cove featuring local male and female players – Free and open to the public
  • 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Giants Rugby Night pre-game reception in Seals Plaza (Special Giants game ticket required for entry) – Many rugby fans will be in costume, Rugby World Cup Sevens Trophies featured

Rugby sevens has proven to be a major factor in America’s rapidly growing interest of the sport, which was kick-started by Rugby Sevens inclusion in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Single Day tickets now on sale through the Rugby World Cup Sevens official website at www.rwcsevens.com/tickets. Competing nations will include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, England, Fiji, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Tonga, Uganda, Uruguay, United States of America, Wales and Zimbabwe.
