5th Annual “Rock the Block” Kids Festival (San Leandro)

Join Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro (BGCSL), in partnership with California’s Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELO-P), for the biggest back-to-school neighborhood block party, where families, neighbors, and supporters come together to celebrate the joy, energy, and impact of our Clubs. This free, family-friendly event showcases local resources and highlights the many ways BGCSL helps youth explore, learn, and grow. 

Enjoy live music, games, hands-on activities for all ages, food, and more while experiencing a “day in the life” of a Club kid. This year’s event welcomes a variety of community partners, including the Alameda County Fire Department, Local 55 (serving BBQ hot dogs generously donated by Aisha Knowles, Alameda County Board of Education, Area 4), Torani (providing lemonade and flavored snow cones), and Ghirardelli Chocolate Company (serving free ice cream sundaes).

The festival offers activities designed to encourage and inspire all ages to explore STEM, literacy, sports, healthy lifestyles, and more.
