Event Details

Strike-slip Gallery recently opened in San Francisco (Mission District) and the next exhibition, opening on May 10th, will be honoring AAPI Heritage Month!

The AAPI show (open from May 10 – June 7) will include both a solo exhibition on the first floor, “Capitalist(ICK),” featuring Korean-American artist, Eunnuri Lee, as well as a group exhibition on the lower level, featuring a four additional female AAPI artists living and working in the Bay Area.

“Capitalist(ICK)” delves into the complexities of capitalism, consumerism & identity, inviting viewers to reflect on the intricate web of influences that shape perceptions and experiences.

“Beyond Material” will be a group show of AAPI artists who dare to create without the pure intention of selling artwork that goes beyond aesthetics & poses the question — “after aesthetics what is left?”.

Opening night will be on May 10th from 5 – 10pm PT but the show will continue through June 1st during our regular business hours (3-7pm Tuesday-Friday; 11am-7pm Saturday & Sunday).

Strike-slip Gallery is an Asian-American co-owned small business and private events venue, founded by abstract artist, Jimmy McCaffrey and his wife, Soo Mee McCaffrey. The best place to stay up to date is via the instagram page: @strikeslip.gallery
