Event Details

African American Quilt Documentation Day at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive
In conjunction with the quilt exhibit, Routed West: 21st Century African American Quilts in California, the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) has partnered with the African American Quilt Documentation Study Group (AAQDSG) to offer a Quilt Documentation Event to help preserve African American quilt history for future generations.
Bring your family quilt(s) to BAMPFA to be documented by AAQDSG. Regardless of the condition, your quilt will be examined, photographed, and recorded in the African American Quilt Registry. The event is FREE, but appointments are limited and advanced registration is required. Register at https://www.aaqdsg.com.
