Come watch free Afro-Peruvian dance, spoken word, capoeira, and creative movement performances by San Francisco’s talented young artists.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

Before the show, enjoy free treats courtesy of Rainbow Grocery Cooperative, Goat Hill Pizza, Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack, and other local businesses, and enter raffles to win some great prizes like museum and ballet tickets.

  • Afro-Peruvian dance | Dr. Charles Drew College Preparatory Academy
  • Spoken word | Visitacion Valley & Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle Schools
  • Capoeira | E.R. Taylor Elementary School

About Performing Arts Workshop: Since its founding in 1965, Performing Arts Workshop has been a leading innovator in helping at-risk youth develop critical thinking, creative expression, and learning skills through the arts. Last year, the Workshop served over 6,000 Bay Area youth through residencies in public schools, transitional housing facilities, and community centers.
