The annual Alameda Bike Festival is back in 2022! We can’t wait to see you!

WHAT: Non-stop fun to inspire, educate, and encourage bicycle riding

The Alameda Bike Festival is a project of the City of Alameda, Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools, the Bay Farm School PTSA, and the Alameda Safe Routes to School Task Force, in partnership with Alameda Unified School District, Kiwanis Club of Alameda, and the Alameda Elks Lodge.
Festival Activities:
Pre-Festival Family Cycling Workshop: 10am-12:30pm
This workshop is for kids who are able to ride a bike and are ready to take to the paths and roadways with their parents (suggested grade range 2-6). Pre-registration is preferred: https://bikeeastbay.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=2008
Bike Rodeo: 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:45pm
We’ll have three bike rodeo sessions — fun-filled 45-minute courses that focus on introducing elementary and middle school students to safe bicycle handling skills and riding techniques.
Pedestrian Rodeo
A team of safety instructors conduct this engaging and fun-filled traffic simulation course to teach safe pedestrian behaviors.
Urban Cycling 101: 12:00-1:30pm
Learn basic rules of the road, how to equip your bicycle, fit your helmet, avoid bike theft, and prevent common crashes. This 1.5 hour indoor workshop is for adults, teens, and kids 10+ years old. Bikes are not required, but please pre-register for this class: https://forms.gle/VthsH7vWs78nWxEaA
Bike Mobile
Free bike tune-ups!
Music Notes: 12:00pm, 1:00pm
Concerts that teach walking and biking safety through hip-hop songs and videos.
And a whole lot more to inspire, educate, and encourage bicycle riding in Alameda!
