The Alameda Donut Festival

The Donut Fun Run is a family-friendly, donut-themed 5k for all ages and abilities which will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, immediately followed by the Donut Festival.

Donut Fun Run racers will take off at 8am from Alameda Point’s Waterfront Park with views of the San Francisco Bay, see the historic USS Hornet aircraft carrier and museum up-close at the halfway turnaround, and make their way back along the historic route to grab their medal and Donut Fun Run champion donut once they cross the finish line.

The Donut Festival kicks off at 9am at Radium Runway, an outdoor arts venue located at Alameda Point, on the former Naval Air Station grounds. Free and open to the public, the festival will feature food vendors including Alameda’s own Donut Petit and Café Jolie, Dynamo Donut & Coffee from San Francisco, Fratelli’s artisan Neapolitan pizza from San Ramon, and unique Filipino BBQ from GIM belly. Local beer and wine will be served, including from our friends at Almanac Beer & Faction Brewing. The maker’s faire will feature booths from local artisans and makers from all over the Bay and Northern California. Festival goers can enjoy live music and live entertainment including dance performances from the Dancing Donuts from Dance/10 studios and other local dance groups, the donut eating contest with a 1st prize of $1,000, a drawing for Southwest Tickets, and the Oakland Roots kids’ play area.

The nonprofit partner for the 2024 Donut Fun Run & Donut Festival is the Alameda Boys & Girls Club which is celebrating it’s 75^th anniversary this year. The Alameda Boys & Girls Club is the only youth development organization in Alameda that serves youth and teens, ages 6-18, of all demographic and economic backgrounds.
