Event Details

Combine care for the coast with collaborative art-making with sand at the Albany Landfill Dog Owners Group (ALDOG) beach cleanup and a free public sand globe workshop on Albany Beach.

The past event brought in 300 lbs of trash and 80 lbs of recyclables, and people of all ages learned to make sand globes then had a great time making beach sculptures and creating sand globe-tossing games.

Sand globe making is joyful and feels like magic – described by some as making a “sand castle in the air.”

There’s free parking right next to the beach, thanks to Golden Gate Fields.
