Event Details

Mingle with scholars and artists over refreshments at the Opening Reception of “Altered State: Religion & Psychedelics in California”.

This exhibition presents a multi-faceted view of the intersection of psychedelics and religion. Under the guidance of faculty collaborators Sam Shonkoff and Devin Zuber, Altered State goes beyond the 1967 Summer of Love narrative, offering new perspectives on the cultural and material history of the California experience.
