The largest event of the year and an annual tradition, the Halloween Parade is fun and free for all ages.
On Sunday, October 26 (11am-2pm), families are invited to Rockridge for Trick-or-Treating at over 40 district businesses and to join in a host of activities and special offers to celebrate Halloween.
Local businesses are bringing the Halloween fun with a spooky haunted Rockridge Market Hall-oween, mini soda floats at Ben ‘N Nick’s, community ofrenda building at Xocolate & Confections, craft tables at multiple locations, along with a host of sales and promotions. That is in addition to the two fun hubs where kids can get crafty and musical.

The Oakland Public Library – Rockridge Branch (5366 College Avenue) is the starting point for the day where kids can pick up a free, commemorative tote bag for trick-or-treating. While there, they can enjoy crafts hosted by MOCHA, music by Asheba, a puppet show by Ricky Roo & Friends, and slightly spooky story times by librarians.
This area includes a pop up community picnic zone where attendees can order takeout from Rockridge restaurants and enjoy their meals together. Bike valet and stroller parking are also at this location.
From 12pm-2pm, the outdoor courtyard at College Avenue Presbyterian Church (5951 College Avenue) transforms into a Halloween party with DJ Danny Santos dropping beats, mini-pumpkin decorating, temporary tattoos, and more.
