Cupid’s Span | The Embarcadero & Folsom St, San Francisco, CA

Supermarket Street Sweep is an annual bike race that benefits the San Francisco Food Bank. For the past several years, hundreds of participants have zipped around the city to local supermarkets and brought back thousands of pounds of food to donate to this wonderful charity.
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank will once again be a one-stop shop for both the race finish and the after party. Last year, 166 racers brought in 18,202 lbs. of food on their bicycles and raised $21,229.
The first 200 to RSVP online will receive special swag.
Race Day Schedule:
10:30 am – Rider check-in at Cupid’s Span
Noon – Riders begin Sweep
4:00 pm – Sweep cutoff. Riders check in at Food Bank. After party
5:30 pm – Awards
Rider check-in starts at 10:30 am. Ideally, will get all of you on the road by noon once we make a short speech and hand out the manifests (which lists the stores you’ll visit and the items you’ll buy to donate to the food bank). Race and fundraising end at 4 pm.
The race starts at Cupid Span’s (Bow & Arrow) at Folsom and Embarcadero. Please meet here to check in for the event. You don’t need to bring or print out your Eventbrite registration/ticket.
The race ends at the SF-Marin Food Bank, and this is also where the party will be. No additional travel necessary. There will be a raffle from 5:30 pm-6 pm (if you pre-registered on Eventbrite, you’ll automatically be entered.)
We’re planning on awarding prizes to the top five men and women in the POINTS and CARGO categories, the top five teams, and the top three fundraisers at 6 pm.
