Everyone needs a safe, sanctioned place to have fun and express themselves. That’s what San Francisco’s annual Urban Youth Arts Festival is all about, especially if the fun you want to have is making graffiti art without Karens furrowing their brows.

Precita Eyes Muralists, an urban arts non-profit, takes over Precita Park for the day.

2024 event details have not yet been announced (as of May 14, 2024), but expect music, dance, and spray can art. 

In 2023, Precita Eyes hosted its largest production yet; they brought three large 8’x20′ walls for selected youth organizations, four 8’x16′ walls, and 6 mini-walls to create art on. They also hosted a Community Wall for traditional brush painting. The festival typically features live music, dancers, and kids’ art activities and we expect the same for 2024.
