“Here” APAture 2016 Arts Festival & Live Performances | SF
Kearny Street Workshop, the country’s oldest and longest-running Asian Pacific American community arts organization, is bringing tomorrow’s artists to the forefront with APAture 2016: Here.
This year, the theme is “Here. Explore about locations, spaces, homes; the way in which we move through and live in these places; the intimacy of bodies, narratives, as they relate to being “here,” and histories, the continued presence, the dreams here. Everyone is living in a pivotal historical moment, and have arrived here, together, each in their own ways.
From September 30th through October 15th, in venues across San Francisco, this one-of-a-kind festival highlights some of the brightest local talent in Visual Arts, Music, Comics & Illustration, Literary Arts, Performing Arts, and Film with over 50 artists who will present their work to approximately 1,000 festival-goers across multiple dates and venues.
