Join Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), United Playaz, and the Robby Poblete Foundation to celebrate the opening of Art of Peace, a group exhibition that aims to raise awareness about the continued escalation of death in our country due to senseless gun violence.

Exploring the stories of 10 local artists and collectives who have been affected by gun violence, Art of Peace features sculptural artworks made from dismantled firearms, including shotgun barrels, revolvers, rifle stocks, shell casings, handgun parts, and more collected off the streets of San Francisco through a December 2018 gun buyback program that gathered a total of 244 guns.

Participating artists include Kevin Byall, Clody Cates and Gaige Qualmann, Nick Fullerton, Tanya Herrera, Darrell Hunger, Barbara Bryn Klare, Labor and Love (Natasha McCray-Zolp and Shameel Ali), Made in Constantine (Constantine Zlatev), Tsungwei Moo, and John Ton.
