Event Details

We will be unveiling our newly acquired artwork that will be on display in the store.

The piece is the product of a sculptural collaboration between local artists Ed Holmes and Marc Ribaud with sound design by Joe Paulino and partner piece by Maria Chenut.

The idea for this show began when Holmes and Ribaud decided to create a larger than life piece using a 45 year-old collection of Ed’s and Marc’s engineering genius.

The collected materials range from the 1920’s to “yesterday.” The artists responded to the unique beauty of each element to create something that has to be seen. The work is accompanied by a companion piece and unique sounds and lights.

Both Ed and Marc will both be there for several hours to talk to everyone about it, enjoying snappy conversations with kids of all ages, waxing nostalgic, watching eyes light up, and more.

The piece was acquired through our sister store, Alameda Natural Grocery, via the wonderful Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda, and has been relocated for your viewing pleasure.

It’s sure to be a festive event, so we hope to see you there as we unveil CV’s newest landmark.
