Asian Art Museum’s Thursday Nights (SF)
Please note that as of 2024 the Asian Art Museum no longer offers discount admission on Thursday nights, but is still open late until 8pm
Looking for a great date night on the cheap? The Asian Art Museum is open until 8 pm on Thursdays and general admission is just $10 (that’s half-off). Plus Special exhibitions are now included with general admission tickets!
You can spend an evening in their beautiful building enjoying the galleries, fun talks, lively gatherings and intimate hangs with artists.
Except for certain special events, general admission tickets are $10 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, $7 for students and youths (age 13-17).
September 26, 2013 is Asian Home Movie Night – film historian Stephen Gong presents a selection of home movies from the many highlights in Center for Asian American Media’s collection. Expect to see lost landscapes of San Francisco and rituals of family gatherings both touching and surprising.
The program opens with an hour of drinks (cash bar) and music by DJ Deeandroid, followed by programs and performances.
Tonight is also the final $5 Thursday night of 2013 at the Asian Art Museum – so if you’ve been putting off visiting the museum and only want to spend a fiver, this is your last week to do it.
