2013 Asian Contemporary Art Week | SF
Asian Contemporary Arts Consortium San Francisco (ACAC-SF) welcomes the second edition of the Asian Contemporary Art Week (ACAW-SF) from September 19-26, 2013.
Partnering with 19 cultural institutions across the Bay Area and featuring 27 programs, ranging from exhibitions and conferences to screenings and performances, ACAW-SF celebrates the diversity and dynamics of Asian contemporary art practice.
Join noted journalist Daniel Brook and Guangzhou-based writer and curator Hu Fang for a conversation in which historical and fictional visions of Chinese urbanization converge.
The authors discuss their latest books—Brook’s critically acclaimed A History of Future Cities and Hu’s highly imaginative Garden of Mirrored Flowers—and engage in a wide-ranging dialogue that intersects with the issues explored in the work of Yang Fudong. Followed by a book signing.
The talk takes place in the Museum Theater, and admission is free.
