What do Harvey Weinstein, Donald Trump, and Anna Wintour have in common? They all need assistance.

Loosely based on Headland’s own experience as Weinstein’s assistant, this razor-sharp comedy chronicles the lives of six young assistants whose lives are an endless series of humiliations at the hands of their hellacious boss. Anyone who’s had (or has) a boss from hell will see themselves in this biting office comedy about selling our sanity for success, and why we keep coming back for more.

First run off-Broadway in 2008, Assistance has played to sell-out crowds in NYC and Los Angeles and is currently being developed into a pilot by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay for NBC. Coming off of a string of sell-out, rave-reviewed shows, including ENRON and Farragut North, Assistance will be OpenTab’s latest production showing that a live performance isn’t just for some people – it’s for all people.
