Australian Rules Football: Co-Ed Games & Vegemite Sandwiches | SF

Join the Golden Gate Australian Football League (GGAFL) Open Day and SF Footy Grand Final co-ed game on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at The Beach Chalet soccer fields.

Free, but RSVP is required.

To kick off the season of Australian Rules Football in the Bay Area, they are having a free day where anyone can come along and join in for some good fun and a good workout.

There will be snacks and free Vegemite sandwiches on hand (first come first served) – for those game enough to try it. BYOB and water.

This is a co-ed game day where both men and women – including those completely brand new to the sport – can come along and play.

• 12:30pm – Players arrive and warm up
• 13:00pm – SF Footy Grand Final (co-ed game)
• 14:30pm – SF Footy Awards for best players
• 14:45pm – Yanks Vs Aussies (men’s game)
• 16:00pm – End of games

There will be coaching and drills running for anyone who wants to learn the basics before joining in on a game.

Please Note: If it is raining, SF Parks and Rec will likely close the fields. They are working on a ‘plan b’ in case this happens and will post any updates or changes to their Facebook event page.
