Event Details

Join them for a book launch of Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff’s new book, Other Avenues Are Possible: The Legacy of the People’s Food System of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Beginning with a rare, historical ten-minute video depicting SF’s food cooperative movement at its peak in the 1970s, Shanta will summarize the growth and eventual collapse of that era, leaving only a few organizations such as Rainbow Grocery and Other Avenues in San Francisco.
