Award-Winning Thalea String Quartet Concert: Beethoven & More | Berkeley

San Francisco’s Thalea String Quartet, winner of the 2015 Barbara Fritz Chamber Music Award, will present a program of Beethoven, Terry Riley, and Paul Hindemith at the Berkeley Piano Club on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 2:30 pm.

There will be a small reception provided by the Berkeley Piano Club after the performance. Admission is free and no tickets are required.

Formed in 2014 at the Zephyr International Chamber Music Festival in Courmayeur, Italy, the Thalea String Quartet has performed recitals in Italy, the United States and Canada and was recently appointed as the first quartet-in-residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. They were named one of the ‘Top 10 Bay Area Quartets You Should Know‘ by CultureTrip.com and have been described as ‘having the potential to be one of the finest [quartets] of its generation’ by the Calgary Herald.”
