Awesöme Orchestra | Epic Free Classical Concerts
Awesöme Orchestra brings people together for musical adventures. Their free sessions are part performance, part open rehearsal. They provide the sheet music, and anyone is welcome to play or to listen.
The Awesöme Orchestra Collective is the Bay Area’s most adventurous reading orchestra, dedicated to playing excellent orchestral music of all kinds with amazing musicians in a fun, casual environment focused on high musicianship. Their events are always free, but they ask for a pay-what-you-will donation to help cover basic costs.
Awesöme Orchestra returns to the Curran in a fully-immersive working rehearsal. In this afternoon of exquisite spontaneity, audiences will be seated on the Curran stage as a collective of one hundred musicians, led by conductor David Möschler (Mr. Burns, a post electric play-ACT, One Night with Janis Joplin-San Jose Rep, Woyzeck-Shotgun Players), gather to rehearse and refine orchestral music.
