Awesöme Orchestra brings people together for musical adventures. Their free sessions are part performance, part open rehearsal. They provide the sheet music, and anyone is welcome to play or to listen.

The Awesöme Orchestra Collective is the Bay Area’s most adventurous reading orchestra, dedicated to playing excellent orchestral music of all kinds with amazing musicians in a fun, casual environment focused on high musicianship. Their events are always free, but they ask for a pay-what-you-will donation to help cover basic costs.

At Session 69 on August 6, we’ll be celebrating National Night Out at the Oakland Public Library for the fifth year in a row. Join us in the outdoor courtyard of their central branch while we make some awesöme music for this national community-building event from 6:00-9:00pm.

Repertoire includes: a world premiere reading of a new movement of Requiem Sinfónica by local composer Arturo Rodriguez, Sensemayá by Silvestre Revueltas, and Boléro by Maurice Ravel.
