Learn how to bachata dance with tips from a professional dance instructor in this free dance lesson as a part of the SF Public Library’s “American Sabor” exhibition.

A partner dance originally from the Dominican Republic, bachata that has spread all over the world and developed different styles in various regions, so come swing your hips and do some dips at this free class on Saturday, September 17.

About “American Sabor”
Everything from samba to salsa will be covered in “American Sabor,” an exhibition on Latinos in U.S. Popular Music in the Skylight Gallery of the SF Main Library from Saturday, August 27 through Sunday, November 13. In support of this traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian, the library will also be hosting a series of free music, dance, film and lectures, all in the spirit of celebrating the true flavor of Latin music in the United States.
