“From Baghdad to the Bay” Film Screening & Live Discussion Panel

“From Baghdad to the Bay” presented by Oasis Legal Services

“An incredible story.” – San Francisco Chronicle

From Baghdad to The Bay follows the epic journey of Ghazwan Alsharif, an Iraqi refugee and former translator for the U.S. military. Wrongfully accused of being a double agent, tortured by the U.S. military and ostracized from family and country, we follow Ghazwan as he struggles to rebuild his life in the United States while coming out as an openly gay activist. Directed by Erin Palmquist.

Live discussion panel on Sunday, December 13th, 4:00pm – 5:00pm PST.

The discussion panel will include Director Erin Palmquist and Main Subject Ghazwan Alsharif. Also joining the panel are legal experts from the International Refugee Assistance Project and Human Rights Watch.

Register for the panel and gain access to the film as early as 4:00pm PST on Friday, December 11th.

Registration via Eventbrite is required.
