¡BAILA! Community. Dance. Party ft. Orquesta Bembé

Join us in Berkeley for a monthly Latine Community Dance Party with live salsa, bachata, and more, centering consent and inclusivity!

Come join us at BAILA for an evening of Live Salsa by Orquesta Bembé and dancing! We’ll have dedicated dance floors for both Bachata and Salsa lovers. Our event is open to all ages!

Enjoy easy-to-follow gender-inclusive salsa and bachata dance classes. Arrive early to savor delicious Mexican bites from Los Cilantros , our next door neighbor. We have TWO dedicated dance floors where you can sway and twirl all night long with our resident DJs DJ Ron and DJ José Ruíz.

Accessibility

La Peña is wheelchair accessible, with step-free entry, wide doors, and all-gender restrooms. Please be aware that our events often draw large audiences, which may affect ease of movement within the space. HEPA air purifiers operate throughout, and masks are strongly encouraged. If you’re feeling unwell, we ask that you stay home to protect our community.

• Public Transit: The 18 bus line stops directly across the street (Shattuck & Woolsey), and Ashby BART is just two blocks away.
• Parking: Free street parking is available, or park at the Ashby BART station for a fee.
• Bike-Friendly: Bike racks are available outside our cultural center
