Event Details

In celebration of Filipino-American History Month, Kultura Ng Balisong is partnering with the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center to feature a Batangas-made balisong exhibit. We will be hosting the official launch event on Saturday, October 22nd at 6pm at the SFFCC. I will be displaying 30 balisongs from my own private collection, including vintage pieces from the 70s, 80s, and 90s as well as modern ones. Learn about the Filipino handmade balisong, the different ways to flip it, and the place where it originated – Taal, Batangas. Also learn about how KNB is developing different balisong modalities such as the balisong “sayaw” or dance, flow and freestyle, meditation and therapy, tactical and self-defense, and its connection with the Filipino Martial Arts. All balisong flippers, enthusiasts, and families are welcome. Bring your balisong trainers and come early to flip with us!
