On Friday, September 26, 2014, over 60 Ferraris and one very special Batmobile will be on display at the Mill Valley Depot Plaza in Mill Valley bound for Santa Barbara as the 2014 Ferrari Owner’s Group (FOG) Rally, kicks off.
The start of the rally is free and open to the public. It will be a chance for car enthusiasts to see an incredible collection of cars including one worth $2.5 million, and the Batmobile that took Batkid around San Francisco during his wish last November. This rally also coincides with Ferrari’s 60th anniversary.
2014 Itinerary
- 6:30-8 am: Car Showcase at the Mill Valley Depot Plaza
The Lamborghini Aventador “Batmobile,” which escorted Batkid around San Francisco during his wish last November, along with 60+ Rally Ferraris in livery, will be on display.- 8:30 am: Rally Departs Mill Valley Depot Plaza
Points of interest include Golden Gate Bridge, Tom Lantos Tunnel, Pacifica, Point Lobos State Reserve, Bixby Bridge, Monterey, Big Sur, and Highway 1
The event, now in its fourth year, will showcase Ferraris of all models and years. During this four-day event, sports car enthusiasts will enjoy several opportunities for up close and personal encounters with the cars and their drivers. Among the participants and cars in the rally are three female drivers, one of whom, Virginia Bamford, will be driving a $2.5 million Enzo model, and Budd Florkiewicz who will be driving a 1954 Ferrari Europa 250, one of just a few in the world. All of this goes to support Make-A-Wish. They expect to raise over $150,000 to grant wishes locally for children with life-threatening illnesses.
