San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf are leading volunteers from their two cities to face off in a cleaning and greening competition on Saturday, September 21, 2019 as part of the annual California Coastal Cleanup Day. The challenge is on to protect our treasured Bay by cleaning and greening our neighborhoods and combating illegal dumping.

Volunteers of all ages and abilities will remove litter from neighborhoods, parks, creeks, and beaches, and participate in other beautification projects in Oakland and San Francisco.

Which City can turn out the most volunteers? Host the most projects? Collect the most trash? Turn the tide on trash and be a part of the global movement to keep our cities and shared waterways clean!
