Event Details

Join Detour Productions for a community conversation focused on the performer’s perspective in immersive, site-specific, and audience-interactive performance.

This gathering brings together a group of Bay Area performers for a moderated roundtable about the craft and experience of immersive performance. The conversation will explore devising and building roles, working in close proximity to audiences, improvisation and audience interaction, navigating boundaries and unpredictability, and what makes performers excited to say yes to a project.

Following the roundtable, the conversation will open to the room for questions, discussion, and connection with other artists working in and around immersive performance.

Moderated by Alex Locust / Glamputee and Eric Garcia / Churro Nomi.

Panelists include Jo Williams, Ja’Moon Jones, Livanna Marissa Maislen, Ava Roy, Natalia Roberts, and Chris Steele aka Polly Amber Ross.

This gathering is performer-focused, but you don’t have to be a performer to attend. Directors, producers, designers, administrators, collaborators, and anyone curious about immersive performance are welcome.

Presented by Detour Productions
