We are moving our annual event online this year to keep the Holiday Market spirit alive!
The City of Mountain View will not allow us to invite 10,000+ visitors to our cozy, two-block German Holiday Market this year due to COVID-19, so we are moving our beloved event online.
Our German Holiday Market website will simulate visiting the German Holiday Market in person by offering shopping, information, and videos that share the Weihnachtsmarkt traditions and the Gemütlichkeit of the season.
GermanHolidayMarket.org
The German Holiday Market website will launch on Friday, November 20, and will remain live for orders through Sunday, December 20. GISSV will offer items that we typically sell at the in-person German Holiday Market: ornaments, nutcrackers, smokers, pyramids, packaged sweets from Germany, and German books on the website. We will also sell Advent calendars from Germany, handcrafted Advent wreaths, and gift boxes. We will offer shipping, delivery, or pick up from Mountain View for most items.
Special Online Event
On Saturday, December 12—the 2nd Saturday in December when the German Holiday Market would normally take place—we will offer musical performances, an online auction, a message from Santa, holiday craft ideas, and more on the website. We will have an information booth at Mountain View City Hall Plaza set up to promote the website, the day’s events, GISSV, and Holiday Market sponsors.
