Event Details

Featuring the world premiere production of “Crack. Rumble. Fly: The Bayview Stories Project” with additional performances by Sharif Jenkins Benjamin, C-Who, Queen D, Fly Benzo & Ms. Incredible, SAE, DJ Trey, Earl Turner, Ngaire Young, Tassina Willis and more.

James is haunted: by his unsteady step, his father’s expectations, and the loss of his mother. Jessa is an outsider and an activist trying to be heard. Mother Marsha is one of the few who can see the changes coming rapidly to The Hill, which have startling consequences for James, Jessa, and the community they are trying so desperately to protect.

Commissioned by A.C.T. from playwright Aleshea Harris, Crack. Rumble. Fly.: The Bayview Stories Project is inspired by Sophocles’s Oedipus the King and interwoven with stories about the lives and experiences of African Americans living in Bayview–Hunters Point. This Stage Coach production features community members from Bayview–Hunters Point, as well as local professional actors.

Performances are free and open to the public, no reservations necessary.
