How about a hike around San Francisco this week to check out some public art history? Sounds wonderful right?

Local artist Todd Kurnat has spent the last three months volunteering his time and designs to beautify San Francisco. He’s done this by connecting with merchants who have boarded up their storefronts during shelter-in-place and painting murals on them.

This passion project of Todd’s has transformed 14 storefronts, 22 murals in seven districts, essentially lifting the spirit of the neighborhoods they reside in. The content of his art ranges from wildlife with human-like expressions to colorful, bold abstract pieces.

This passion project of Todd’s is a volunteer effort. If you’d like to donate to the cause, you may do so via Venmo @todd-kurnat. Your generous support allows Todd to continue to use his art to facilitate connections for the betterment of the community.

He’s also made a handy map of all the storefronts he’s beautified. Making it easy to plan your city hike to visit them before they’re gone. Head on over to toddkurnat.com/murals to peep the locations.
