Beekeeping Workshop at Whole Foods | North Bay

Marin Bee Company teams up with Whole Foods Market in Novato to present a free hands-on beekeeping series, “The Basics of Backyard Beekeeping”. 

Meet us at Whole Foods Market on the 1st Saturday of each month at 11:00 am, located at 790 DeLong Ave in Novato and be prepared to suit up in a beekeeper’s jacket and veil for a close up look at live bees and learn what it takes to harvest your own healthy raw honey.

Monthly happenings will include hands-on activities such as tending to the hive, planting a bee friendly garden, fun educational programs for children, cooking classes and recipes, film screenings and more.

Kick-Off Event | Beekeeping Workshop at Whole Foods | North Bay

It kicks off with a beehive installation in their beautiful patio garden, on September 22nd at 10:00 am and will occur monthly over the next year as part of Whole Foods “Share the Buzz” campaign, which aims to heighten awareness about the struggling honeybee and Colony Collapse Disorder through community outreach.

Please note that most events in this series take place the first Saturday of the month at 11am except for this special kick off event at 10am on September 22nd.
