Sara Herrera will be teaching a Beginner Rueda dance class with a Salsa Suelta / Reggaeton warm-up starting at 6pm. No partner necessary! Just come on down with your dancing shoes. Sara Herrera was born in Honduras and grew up in Long Beach California. But she didn’t discover salsa dancing until she went on a trip to Cuba in 2008. While she was there she got a crash course in Cuban style Salsa Rueda, Rumba and Afro-Cuban. She fell in love and has been studying Cuban dance ever since. She has performed in Carnaval with Cultu-Cuba under the direction of her teacher Manuel Suarez, at the Salsa Rueda Festival with an all girl dance crew Las Tolitas, and is a regular fixture in the Cuban Salsa scene.
