New Beginnings and In the Deep Art Exhibit | San Rafael

Marin Society of Artists opens its new Art Centre, located at 1515 3rd Street (cross E Street), San Rafael, with two exhibitions “New Beginnings” and “In the Deep Sea”- A Benefit for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).

“New Beginnings” featuring the work of 14 artists, in a variety of media, is aptly titled as Marin Society of Artists turns the page on a 70 year history at the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross and moves to its new home in San Rafael. Twenty-one Marin Society of Artists members will be showing their works.

“In the Deep Sea,” the work of two artists depicting the plight of refugees at sea, is an international traveling exhibit making a brief stop in San Rafael after opening in Lucca, Italy and before re-opening in San Francisco. The artists are donating 100% of proceeds to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).
