Shaping San Francisco is a series of free lectures, which aim to excavate the city’s lost history. It’s a place to meet and talk unmediated by corporations, official spokespeople, religion, political parties, or dogma.

Bending Over Backwards | Shaping San Francisco | City History Lectures

Take a walking tour stretching from the site of San Francisco’s first sugar mill across the old industrial North Mission, connecting two murals by artist Susan Greene.

The tour is led by Chris Carlsson and LisaRuth Elliott. There is a $5-10 sliding scale donation, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Meet at noon at the northeast corner of 8th St. and Harrison.
