Poetry Takes Root: Celebrating our 501c3
Berkeley Poetry Festival is entering a new chapter, and we’re gathering to celebrate with poetry, community, performances, tarot readings, writing games, and fun prizes.
Join us for a free fundraiser in support of Berkeley Poetry Festival’s next season of community-centered poetry programming.
Amazing Prizes:
Poet’s Dinner for Four: A small feast, each course accompanied by a poem, and wine pairing to celebrate the offerings from earth, sky, sea with spice and surprise from braided cuisines, served with gusto by Chef Annice Jacoby and Donkey & Wine Winery
Sculpture by Vince Montague: Sixty-Six Chickens (head bust made of ceramic and poetry)
Mountain Poems Hike with Joey Knelman and Judy Halebsky: Spend a morning hiking and reading poems on the Seaview Trail in Tilden. Read poems by mountain ascetics and learn about the ecology of the East Bay Hills for up to 11 people!
Enjoy performances by Natasha Dennerstein, Jennifer Hasegawa, and James Cagney.
