Evo Bluestein sings, plays fiddle, banjo, autoharp, button accordion, and guitar, and even dances while fiddling (this is not easy). His father was Gene Bluestein, folklore professor at CSU Fresno, so he grew up around great traditional musicians such as Tommy Jarrell and Jean Ritchie.
Evo’s old-time music and dance have reached thousands of children spanning several generations through his thirty years of work in California. He has performed and taught at many music festivals and camps, including Pinewoods, Swannanoa, Augusta, and the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes.
