Berkeley’s 1st Ever “Tote Bag” Swap + Free Library Books (Central Library)

Berkeley Public Library hosts a free tote bag swap at the Central Library’s Art & Music department on the 5th Floor. Attendees may bring clean, good-condition tote bags, backpacks, purses, fanny packs, suitcases, duffels, messenger bags, and other reusable bags, or take home items without donating. Paper and plastic bags are not accepted, and remaining items will be donated. Participants can also fill their new-to-them bags with free library books.

_Is your closet overflowing with random tote bags you never use? Do you have an extra suitcase, a couple backpacks, or old purses taking up too much space in your closet? Come participate in our tote bag swap–just like a clothing swap but for bags! And fill your new-to-you bags with library books… for free, of course! • Saturday, October 10 • 1:00 – 3:00 pm • Berkeley Central Library, 5th Floor, Art & Music – 2090 Kittredge St, Berkeley, CA 94704 All bags are welcome, including tote bags, backpacks, purses, fanny packs, suitcases, duffels, messenger bags, and more. No paper or plastic bags. Items should be clean and in good condition, like things you would want to take home yourself. You don’t need to donate to take home items you find. And all leftover items will be donated!_
