Event Details

For one night only, Bike Smut will make Oakland come again with a collection of erotic bicycle shorts made by cyclists, radicals, and queers from all over the world including various interpretations about what is great about sex and cycling.

In 2015, the submissions are from Oakland, Chicago, Phoenix, Montreal, Toronto, and San Paulo, and are literally and figuratively all over the map. The “Come Again” theme has inspired bicycle lap dances, Craigslist hookups, androgynous ice cave explorations, Chinese bondage pegging lessons, bike cops taken hostage until they squirt, and for the first time ever, wheelchair porn.

The Bike Smut Film Festival is now in its 8th year, and the only way to see it is to attend a screening and experience it with others. This synthesis of transportation and sexuality is everything you could imagine it to be: creative, ethical, aware, explicit, tantalizing, candid, and silly.

In the past year, they showed consensual non-consent / forced haircuts from Chicago, golden showers and swampy dendrophilia from Gainesville, spaghetti-western anarchists from Montreal, gender queer Mario Brothers from Geneva, hardfem bicycle-mounted cavalry-archers hunting to feed their sexual appetites in Phoenix, and a hardcore ginger-on-ginger bisexual, bikesexual educational film.

Since its inception, Bike Smut has toured North America 17 times, and in the summer of 2011, the project completed its first European excursion, playing 63 shows in 21 countries, from Scotland to Turkey. The winter of 2012, took Bike Smut on their first around Mexico. Last year, Reverend Phil completed a bike tour from Minneapolis to Montreal to Mexico, 6 months of bike touring across Europe, and another month down the West Coast; he returns to the East Bay’s only screening of Bike Smut 8: Come Again.
