Event Details

On the morning of May 13th, over 200 Energizer Stations will be located along local bike commute routes in all nine Bay Area counties to provide complimentary bike doctors, commuter convoys free beverages, snacks and good cheer to bicyclists.  Stations operate either in the morning (7:30a to 9:30a) or for the afternoon commute (5pm to 7pm)

Bike To Work Day | San Francisco – Details

Biking Commuter Convoys
Start the morning by riding your bike downtown (or to the South Bay) with a Commuter Convoy! Commuter Convoys provide the enjoyment and safety of riding with a group and are led by experienced cyclists.

27 Energizer Stations operated by SF Bike Coalition

At 27 Energizer Stations, volunteers cheer on people riding bikes around San Francisco! Each station provides free snacks, fair trade certified coffee, and convenient reusable tote bags for future commutes. Check out the 2010 Energizer Station Map »

Bike Doctors
Mechanics from local bike shops will help you dust off your old bike and provide free basic bike maintenance to get you rolling on Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 13. Visit our Bike Doctors at one of these Energizer Stations (See map for Energizer Station locations):

  • 7:30-9:30am: Cesar Chavez & Harrison, Ferry Building, 7th & Irving, Market & 12th, Folsom & 7th
  • 5-7pm: Duboce & Market, Kearny & Washington, Ferry Building, Howard & 8th, and Fell & Masonic

Complimentary Bike Valet Downtown
Even if your employer doesn’t provide secure bike parking, you can still participate in Bike to Work Day! The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition will be hosting complimentary Bike Valet at Market + Battery on Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 13, from 8am-6pm so you don’t have to worry about your bicycle while you are at work.
